An older pressure switch can lead to issues with your pump. It can be wired 115 volt or 230 volt. It will likely be mounted on the outside of your pressure tank. If your pump isn t switching on or off properly it may well be to do with your square d pressure switch.

This method will work for any pump that runs directly off of a pressure. Wrap the pipe threads with teflon tape and reassemble. This switch must be used in conjunction with a well pressure tank. Turns pump on at 40 psi off at 60 psi.

The air pressure in the well tank when empty of all water must be set to 38 psi or the switch will not operate properly.
